Why does America have individual States?
America has individual states because each state has different rules on drivers licenses, vehicle registration, driver’s records, birth certificates, death certificates, unemployment compensation, and licensing for professionals. Each state has different representatives, state budget, and tax legislation, so people can choose what state they want to live in due to this. Going into history, several states already had a state constitution and an organized government before the united states had its constitution. Also this way the government will have more checks and balances over the government and how it runs. The state government has power over the people so that the federal government can spend their time on bigger issues.
