What is a Constitution?
Constitution: A supreme law that establishes the powers of government and determines how other laws are made and implemented. A set of rules for how the government passes laws and governs. By having a government there is always something for people to look back upon and keep them in check.
Because the federal government has the power to pass laws they need to be controlled. We can’t let them be corrupt or become too powerful so they have a constitution. Also the state government needs to have a set of rules so they don’t go out of control. It puts a collar and leash on the government and since their are two forms of government they need two leashes and two collars. AKA two constitutions.

This dog in this picture represents the state and federal government and the leash represents the constitution that restrains them from doing some things.
This article is an example of a woman violating the Constitution.
